USIEA is working to become the lead resource in China for study abroad opportunities in higher education. When recruiting, we interview every student to help identify their goals and advise on the program that best fits their wishes, ranging from English language programs to full academic year programs. In China, the decision to study abroad is collective, and family approval is very important. We often work with parents as well as the student to select the appropriate program.
Rather than working with a wide range of partner universities, USIEA only works with highly selective institutions in order to ensure each student’s education meets our standards of excellence. Our efforts are focused on providing students with a quality experience both pre-departure and during their time studying abroad. Currently, USIEA places students in the below institutions in English speaking countries for study abroad programs.
US universities:
Boston University
Columbia University
The George Washington University
University of California, Riverside
University of California, San Diego
University of Pennsylvania
University of Wisconsin, Madison
Canadian universities:
University of Victoria
University of Toronto
UK universities:
The London School of Economics and Political Science
Australian universities:
The University of Adelaide
Colleagues from Columbia University, University of California Riverside Extension, and University California San Diego Extension have been working closely with USIEA and USIEA’s Chinese partner universities to provide quality academic programs and excellent student service. Together we have placed thousands of students in English language programs, semester, summer and full academic year programs. It is our great pleasure to be part of students’ lives and see them benefit by taking advantage of study abroad opportunities.
Below are some comments from our longstanding partner Universities:
The University of California Riverside has been working with USIEA for 4 years to bring qualified visiting students from China to UCR for their study abroad. USIEA is a different kind of organization from others who help to recruit students from China to the US. They are diligent in selecting only the best qualified students for UCR. In all cases, they work with us to determine criteria and then each student is personally interviewed and tested before they are selected for UCR. I am as comfortable with USIEA selecting students as if I had hand-picked them myself. The students are also well oriented by USIEA before they come to UCR. As a result they have realistic expectations of their university experience in the US and therefore have a more successful experience in an American university. I admire the work of USIEA as they invest a substantial amount of funds to provide students with scholarships and other awards both before and after their stay. They truly care about the students from the time they are selected to when they return to China. USIEA is genuinely invested to ensure the best experience for their students to UCR. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Working with USIEA over the past three years has been a very positive experience. USIEA has taken care to learn about all of our various programs, and they have promoted them with integrity and excellent attention to detail. Enrolling students in our various English language programs and our visiting university-credit programs, USIEA does a very fine job in following our procedures and in advising and assisting its students in pre-departure matters, during their studies with us, and upon the students’ return back home.

USIEA has been representing the Visiting Students, Summer and American Language Programs for Columbia University School of Professional Studies for the past four years. During our relationship, USIEA has shown strong professionalism and thorough understanding of the Chinese educational market. They have been very helpful in suggesting courses and programs for their students and assisting students through the application process.
