Study Abroad Conference/Seminar

USIEA organizes conferences and seminars twice a year for members through its Chinese partner university network. The aim of these conferences is to provide a platform for partners to exchange views and share best practices on internationalization within higher education. Administrators and staff from international exchange and study abroad offices at various universities meet to discuss a wide range of topics including: different forms of collaboration with overseas institutions, promoting international programs on campus, how to assess and recognize courses from international universities; best practices for transfer of credits, etc.

USIEA also invites guest speakers with rich experience in international education to share their experiences at these conferences. Distinguished speakers are often invited from Chinese and US universities to deliver keynote speeches at conferences and seminars, and share their areas of expertise with other members of the study abroad community .

I had a really wonderful time at CELOP and made a lot of friends that I still keep in touch with today. My instructors were great and taught me a lot both inside and outside classroom. If you ask me what the most awesome activity is while I study at Metropolitan College Boston University in regards to academics, my answer is definitely networking events and professional conferences. Boston is home to many institutions of higher education like MIT, Harvard, and Boston College. Every year an increasing number of elite specialists in different industries from all over the world come to Boston for specific events. I joined Aite group for internship, and worked as a full-time employee. Even though the project I was assigned was a little bit tough for me, I learned a lot from my teammates. Thanks to this certificate program, I entered a small international arena to learn from different people from different countries.
